Come to a course on your own or together with others—bring along your family, friends, or colleagues. We offer art courses and creative sessions, spaces for meetings and celebrations, atmospheric accommodation, and memorable dining experiences.

Yövesi Studio Home is located in the old elementary school building on Himalansaari Island in Mikkeli, in the middle of an ancient cultural landscape and the most beautiful nature of Lake Saimaa.

There is room for everyone at Yövesi Ateljeekoti.

Yövesi Ateljeekoti has a total of five cozy bedrooms in the main building. Two of these are single rooms, while three larger rooms can accommodate one or more guests. In addition, there are two traditional courtyard cottages located in the grounds.

The facilities have been carefully renovated in recent years, including the replacement of the granary doors. Thanks to these improvements, the granaries are suitable for year-round accommodation, offering guests atmospheric lodging in complete privacy.

All rooms and granaries are equipped with blackout curtains.

The cost of accommodation is included in the prices of our courses and packages. Accommodation for independent travelers is booked via Airbnb. We always rent Ateljeekoti to one group at a time, so the entire house is exclusively for your use. A warm welcome!

The Ateljeekoti is located in a primary school built in 1893, whose atmosphere provides a unique setting for both celebrations and accommodations. We offer perfect facilities for unforgettable parties and relaxing stays for groups of various sizes. We have sleeping places for 14 people, and extra beds can be arranged for larger groups.The Ateljeekoti’s beautiful surroundings are an ideal choice for intimate weddings, birthday parties, larger family gatherings, or corporate events. The venue’s historic ambiance combined with the tranquility of nature creates a unique and atmospheric place that charms and inspires. Nearby, the chapel on Himalansaari offers a picturesque setting for ceremonies such as weddings and christenings.We also offer opportunities for delicious meals, sauna sessions on the shore of Lake Saimaa, and a variety of activities for all ages. You can enjoy creative and art-based workshops or choose other entertainment for your event. We cooperate with local boating operators, so a boat trip on Lake Saimaa can also be arranged.My 15-year-old twin daughters look after and play with younger children when needed, so parents can also have some time to themselves.From Ateljeekoti’s sauna beach, less than a kilometer away, it is only about a one-kilometer boat trip to the Astuvansalmi rock paintings—an intriguing and historic attraction right nearby.
